Despite Behringer's reputation for being a cheap brand, the PMP1280S is of excellent service to DJ's and Musicians. A new one on Amazon UK recently sold for £435 not including delivery, and received 4.5 star rating for customer satisfaction. We are impressed by the audio quality for the price! Therefore, our professionally refurbished unit is a bargain for someone who will look after it. The PMP1280S is a powerful high-quality mixer amplifier in a standalone unit. Its rugged plastic enclosure is designed for life on the road. Rack mounting is possible via brackets (not supplied). Delivering a peak power of up to 600W per channel in stereo mode, and 1200W in the mono bridged mode, it is best suited to venues of medium to large size, for example a Church hall. Of course, at lower volume settings, it will handle small venues very comfortably and doesn't over-stress the equipment. There are up to ten input channels, including two that are stereo, with a variety of connections including balanced XLR and 1/4" jack, high and low impedance, and with phantom power. There are two channels of digital effects which can add reverb, delay, gate etc. And the ten band EQ allows for easy elimination of feedback with its illuminated sliders. Monitors can be connected via 1/4" jacks. Audio equipment, such as MP3 players, can be connected via standard RCA phono inputs. On the back of the unit are standard 4-pole "speakON" sockets, which accept Neutrik NL4FX speaker plugs. Please note this unit is sold WITHOUT speakers.
